I have been excited to share this engagement session, since before we even took the photos! During our first meeting, Amelia had shared some ideas for her and Manuel’s engagement session. She knew she wanted lush spring blooms at the Denver Botanical garden and wanted beautiful outfits that complemented their wedding style and the aesthetics of the botanical gardens. From her descriptions alone I was smitten, and let me tell you, their looks the day of did not disappoint! She nailed the whimsical fairytale look and I could have photographed these two all day.
I first met with these two earlier this year during a particularly snowy night. Even though we only met a mile or so from our house. It was my first time driving in snow and I was a little terrified. I remember telling myself that I was going to make the meeting ‘quick and to the point’ so I could drive home before the snow got too icy. Well, two hours later after we had talked about practically everything from our favorite podcast to the adorable story of how they met, we found ourselves leaving Starbucks just as they closed. It was probably one of the longest meetings I had ever had, but we clicked on so many levels. Amelia shared with me some wedding ideas and colors she was thinking, and I was so in awe of her organization skills. My favorite thing was how she told me ‘I’m only going to be doing this once, so I’m going to do it right”. Such a true sentiment and their vision plus organizational skills have me so excited for their wedding next May at the beautiful Highlands Ranch mansion!!
Isn’t this look amazing!?! It is straight out of a French fairytale. The striped long sleeve shirt pairs perfectly with the whimsical tule grey skirt. And Manny’s three-piece suit elevates the look even more. Totally in love with all of this.
This was their first look and I’m so obsessed with it! I dubbed it a vintage Cinderella inspired look. Amelia’s beautiful lace dress and headpiece paired perfectly with the dressy casual of Manny’s suspenders and bowtie. It’s like these two walked out of the pages of a whimsical fairytale for their session–and I am so digging it!
