Caitrin and Peter’s engagement session brought us to St. Mary’s Glacier. Which is the amazingly beautiful location, just past Idaho Springs. Despite being May, at over 10,000 ft elevation, we were met with 40-degree weather and even a little bit of snow! The cold and snow were nothing for these two though! Peter and Caitrin we’re amazing sports and braved the weather and putting up with my ‘one more photo…. wayyyyy over there’ request.
Selfishly I am so glad these two chose such an adventurous location that we had to hike to because it meant I got to spend that much more time with them! From the moment we started talking, we realized how much we had in common and not just one thing, but like every topic, we brought up. I walked away from the session feeling like I had known these two my whole life!
And you are going to love their proposal! Peter proposed in the most amazing (and secretive) way in South America! Caitrin had been hoping for a proposal and despite quite a few ‘perfect’ opportunities to propose before the trip, it hadn’t quite come up yet. One thing she was certain of though, is that it was definitely not going to happen on the trip… They were sharing a suitcase, it was a long flight, she had it in her mind there is no way it was going to happen in South America… But on the second day, Peter got down on one knee! The shock factor for Caitrin was real and so amazing!
Okay, enough talking, let’s show you just how adorable these two are!
