If you have not had a chance to visit Chautauqua park in Boulder, drop everything and take a drive now! This is an absolute gem of a park and gives such iconic views that everyone needs to experience it’s beauty at least once. But we’re pretty sure that once you venture here, it will be hard to keep you from coming back.
A few months ago Makenna, Greg and I ventured out to Boulder to hike this beautiful trail at Chautauqua Park in Boulder. Countless people were telling us to check it out and they were spot on! Even during winter, the hike and views were absolutely beautiful. I snapped quite a few photos on my phone that day of parts of the park I thought would be perfect for an engagement session. Crossing my fingers that I would get to explore this park again for engagement images!
Flash forward a few months, Michelle and Shane decided that Chautauqua park would be the perfect location for their photos. I was so excited to finally get a couple out here to this beautiful location! Between the large open fields, tree-covered hills, and the Flatirons, Chautauqua Park is such a versatile location.
As much as I loved the location, I loved my time getting to know Michelle and Shane even more. Like Greg and I, these two took the leap and left the state they called ‘home’ and moved to Colorado! Knowing just how hard that can be, we have major respect and admiration for them. I loved hearing about what brought them to Colorado and all of the things they loved most about the state. These two also brought along their super adorable Australian Shepherds. They were the friendliest dogs ever, I had to keep reminding myself I was there to take photos, not snuggle up on the puppies! But be warned, if your puppies are at your engagement session, they will get lots of love ;).
