One of my favorite questions to ask couples when I first meet them is: “how did you two meet?”. It’s the hopeless romantic in me. I find it amazing when an algorithm can bring two strangers together. I’m in awe over random chance meetings. I love the romanticism that is meeting your future spouse. Because if you think about it. One day you don’t have any clue they exist. You both are just floating around in your own universe and then “BAM!” you meet. Your worlds collide and your path together begins. Sorry, I let the hopeless romantic wedding photographer take they reigns of the keyboard right there. Back to the story. Megan and Erik have a great first meeting story! Imagine going to a wedding for a couple you two both adore, and then meeting your future spouse! Yep, that is Megan and Erik’s story!! These two met at a wedding, and the rest is obviously history. Stories like that always awe me, how many things have to fall in place for them to have met? It’s crazy to think.
Megan and Erik’s engagement session took us to Castlewood State Park, which is about 40 minutes south of Denver. This park was absolutely amazing! Greg, Makenna and I went hiking at the park a few weeks earlier and get a good idea for where we wanted to shoot. And now it is one of our favorite parks to visit because of the beautiful trails! Finding beautiful places in a new city can sometimes be a challenge, but being a wedding photographer is a huge advantage. We love getting to explore our client’s favorite locations while we explore our new home. Rather than having to find all of these wonderful locations by ourselves, our clients introduce us to the most beautiful places in our new home state. Cue Miley Cyrus’s ‘best of both worlds” right about now… Okay, tangent aside, we know you are really here for the photos… So enjoy!
