Today I get to share my first wedding of 2019 with all of you! And we could not have had a better wedding to start with! We flew to California to celebrate Lian and Jesse, and spring time in California did not disappoint! Especially since we had a blizzard in Colorado the week before ;).
Our first wedding of the year took us to Heritage Museum Orange County, one of our favorite Southern California venues, where their beautiful grounds greeted us with lush spring blooms. Even better than the lush blooms were Lian and Jesse’s choice of pastel wedding colors to complement the season. The blush and cream flowers created a perfect pop against the seafoam green bridesmaid dresses and these pastel tones flowed effortlessly throughout the rest of their day. While the lush gardens were beautiful and the colors were perfection, neither could compare to best part of the day, which was Lian and Jesse’s relationship of course.
Jesse stood in front of the large Kellogg house. The white Victorian house with the intimate front patio shading him. His back to the door. He shifted his weight from foot to foot awaiting Lian. Lian opened the front door and took a step outside. Her fitted lace gown fluttered as she walked towards Jesse. Her hands reached up and gently touch his back. Jesse turned with a large grin on his face and looked down at his bride. Jesse reached down and took Lian’s hand in his. He raised it up and gently kissed it. An act we would see him do all day. During wedding days, I love looking for the ‘special something’ each couple has. I love watching the way each couple interacts. And watching the interaction between Lian and Jesse was truly special. She had a smile that lit up even brighter for him. And he touched her ever so gently, always kissing her hand or resting a hand upon her back. Their love was endearing and touching. It is the kind of love, I love capturing on wedding day.
