It is December which means engagement season is here! Did you know that over 1/3 of couples get engaged between November and December!! That is so many!! All those shiny rings mean that lots of wedding planning is starting. So, we wanted to help you out! Today we’re sharing 6 pinterest worthy wedding details to get your planning started.
Wedding mornings are one of my FAVORITE parts of the day. The girls are all giggly. The campaign glasses are clicking. I’m styling all of the pretty details. The atmosphere is just the best. One of my favorite things during getting ready in the morning is matching outfits. There is just something fun about matching outfits—and they always make for the cutest images!
A few years back I was a bridesmaid for one of my closest friends. Having all the girls gathered round, wearing matching robes, munching on snacks and sipping mimosas—it was a total highlight of my day. It’s one of the first things I think back on when I think of their day.
Flowers are pretty as they are, but adding them to your hair is such a gorgeous touch that I love! I honestly wish I would have thought about a floral flower piece for my wedding hair! And hair flowers don’t have to be flower crowns, our recent bride Grace wore a flower barrette in her hair and it was the prettiest pop of red! It was the perfect touch for her bridal beauty.
EVERY SINGLE wedding I photographed this year had maxi bridesmaid dresses! Which, I personally loved. I am a huge fan of maxi dresses and think they add such an elegant touch to any wedding day. And I don’t know about you, but I always feel prettiest in a floor length dress!
Custom ring boxes are such a fun trend and I love how couples are able to show their personality through their ring box choices. One of our sweet brides Tera used a ring pillow that looked like a library check out card—since she was a librarian this was the perfect personalized touch. This year vintage ring boxes were super big too, and I loved it. Those pretty velvet boxes are a great way to house those shiny rings.
One thing I love seeing are my clients’ wedding invitations. We actually hang each save the date, thank you card, and wedding invitation on our fridge and it makes me happy every time we look at it. Looking at our client’s invitations gets me so excited for their day because I can see their vision coming to life through a custom invitation suite, and helps me style their details that much better!
Brides have so many options now and days for wedding day transportation. From party busses, to uber, getting to your wedding has never been easier. Some of our favorite wedding day touches have been unique transportation. The most unique this year? Brittney and Andrew win this one, we all took a boat from the ceremony site to the reception! Sailing along Newport bay in California was definitely a highlight from their day.
