Irene and Adrian were married in Oak Glen, Ca at the highly sought after Serendipity Gardens. This picturesque venue is nestled in the heart of Oak Glen and offers beautiful views and picture-perfect photo opportunities. It was our first time shooting at this particularly venue and we were absolutely smitten!
We have been anxiously awaiting Irene & Adrian’s wedding day for quite some time and as we got closer to the date I found myself with a little countdown. Not only were we going to shoot at a venue we have been wanting to photograph at since we started shooting weddings, but these two are also two of the most genuinely kind hearted people we have ever met. They have a heart set in the lord, love and each other and it completely shows. All day we heard testimony of their love story and each part started with “we trusted the lord to put us on the right path and we submitted to his will not our own” this was an amazing reminder for Greg and myself. We have said this a million times, but we don’t photograph weddings for the pretty flowers or sparkly details. We photography weddings because we have a genuine passion for marriage and seeing two people come together, putting aside their own desires and setting forth on a new path that requires sacrifice, commitment and looking at life through another person’s eyes. We know Irene and Adrian are ready for this wonderful challenge and with the amazing support system they have, we are sure that their marriage is going to bring a lot of joy to all they encounter.
Irene and Adrian’s wedding was a sweet and modern ode to love, adventure and God. From Irene’s fitted lace dress that blended together a traditional yet modern design, to the Starwars dress socks that they guys wore; their day was a true representation of their passions and hobbies and things they loved. Their personalities were woven subtlety throughout the day—like with their Up meets Starwars mash-up cake topper, which was truly adorable and showcased their love of Disney. Their elegant sweetheart table was another favorite of mine, filled with lush flowers and hand painted “I love you” and “I know” signs, giving a little node to Adrian’s favorite movie. For their guest, they created an intimate set up, with family style seating and three dessert bars which featured a s’mores station, gourmet doughnuts and an ice-cream bar for a late night treat. However, probably my favorite part of the day was their romantics; these two were completely head over heels for each other and it showed in the way they moved together. We truly had an amazing time from detail prep in the morning, to these two running through a tunnel of sparklers and being whisked away to their honeymoon.
While there were so many wonderful parts of their day, like always, my absolute favorite part of their day was their ceremony! Pastor Patrick gave a wonderful message on what it means to love and submit to each other. The elation on Irene and Adrian’s face was priceless. And the tears and choked up voices when they read their vows was so raw. But the best moment was when these two were finally married! The relief and joy on their faces was priceless!
Powerful messages during the ceremony are always special to me. Not only do they remind Greg and I of our own bond, but they also remind us why we photograph wedding. The messages of love remind us of the importance of the ceremony and how in that moment a new family is being created. I love celebrating the joy of marriage with each couple and the ceremony is a great reminder of that.
Thank you so much for allowing us to capture your wonderful wedding! We just adore the love and detail that went into such a special day. We hope you enjoyed Disneyworld and the Disney Cruise! God has given you both the gift of love. While times may not always be easy, they will always be worth it. We hope that you two continue to grow in love and faith and hold tight to elation that you felt on your wedding day. You two are so sweet and genuine and capturing your wedding day was a true blessing.
